To the OP. You should so some reading rather than look for a quick answer. Thank you all for the assistance. I am not sure because of the magazine capacity and could not find a ten round magazine that would comply with CA law. I will check with a few distributors and probably get one. Again thanks.

As you may have ascertained from the other threads, 10 round magazines are not commercially available yet. However, some dealers will convert a standard capacity magazine to a 10 rounder for you. But, be cautious, the conversion must be permanent.

Another point to consider: there are three models of the GSG-5. The one with the fake can has a legal >16" barrel, the other two models do not. If you're buying from a dealer here in CA that's the only model they carry.Comment

Hi Gents,
Michael at Suchar enterprises does a permanent 10 round mag mod to all CA bound GSG5s. To date there is only the 16" /mock suppressed unit available from the importer ATI.

10 round mag for GSG-5 are legal in New York and California
I think with 10 round magazine and only .22 caliber, it will be legal everywhere in USA. CA and NY got most strict gun law and GSG-5 10 round magazine are legal in above mentioned states.

There are tons of GSG-5's in CA
The standard GSG-5 with the thin fake can and the GSG-5 SD with the fat fake can are legal as rifles, as long as your stock makes them >26" collapsed, also remember to have 10 rounders
The gsg-5 pistol is legal in CA if tranferred as a single shot and then used with a maglock and 10 rounder
Factory 10 rounders are hard to find, but there are plenty of converted 22 to 10 rounders floating around...Comment
