Ok so a very close friend of mine has been doing some woodwork for the last year for the first time in his life. he has made some nice things foraround his house and recently completed a bed frame for his wife (and him), using no metal, all old time wood work that turned out unbelievable!
For my birthday last month he made me some wood grips for my 22/45 MkIII. He had never done this before and he owns a 1911 and thought he would like to try it out for me!

I really like the way they look and feel. They are slightly fatter than the factory grips. They look nice with the black of the pistol.
