    H&K MP5- Full Auto Conversion?

Jumping through all the hoops of the ATF and all the other legal processes, is it doable? Anyone know how this would all work from a technical standpoint?

Please don't derail this into a thread about the legalities and all...

The ATF should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

    DIAS.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Okay, it's impossible in this state, and most others. You'd need to be a 07/03-SOT, and that alone costs $3,000+ Plus, you'd only be able to do it if you were manufacturing other items as a business, NOT for your own gain. That's tax evasion according to the ATF. So, the answer is a big NO! The only option you has is a Drop In Auto Sear, and that's kinda like a really wimpy version of a full auto in my opinion.

And say hi to your co-workers for me.

Does a DIAS for the Umarex H&Ks even exist? (since we're in the rimfire section, after all).

Registered sears exist for the real 90 series, but they aren't DIAS.

          None exist.

All the current (H&K/Umarex, GSG) .22LR MP5 style firearms do not accept H&K internal parts.

There is a range, that is a 07-FFL/02-SOT, in Las Vegas, that rents out .22LR full auto MP5 style firearms (GSG/ATI GSG-5) that they've converted into post-'86 MGs.
They charge $35 for 40 rounds.

They don't YET this is where you'd have to get creative and start designing stuff.

Anything created after May 1986, is considered a post-'86 MG and can only be legally owned by FFL/SOT and Gov/Mil/LE agencies.

I'm not talking about an auto sear, I'm talking about the parts necessary to make an auto sear WORK. Last I remember, putting one rifles semi auto FCG into anoth rifle isn't illegal. The DIAS is the registered part, so what's bad about putting an MP5 lower on an umarex 22 rifle? not a full auto lower, a semi auto one.

First off, I'm currently residing in AZ so I'm clear of the CA laws. And what's a DIAS? Would a SEF MP5 lower not work?

No, the internals are completely different, and even if you were to make a pre-86 registered HK 90-series sear work in an Umarex/GSG, it may be subject to a ruling by the BATFE due to the Umarex/GSG not being in the same "family" of weapons due to the internal differences.
