    1022 with low serial number

I recently came into ownership of a very nice 1022. I bought it because I knew it was older, and in good shape. I didnt realize until today that the serial number is under 140, and it is in 98% condition. Is there any more.value to such an early rifle.

Nice score, I am envious. I am not sure what a collector of these rifles would pay for one with a 3 digit serial, but I am sure there would be a premium. I would reccomend you do nothing to take away from the originality of the gun. Try posting on one of the websites dedicated to 22 rifles to pin down a value.

neat a 3 digit thats first year

it would be neat to compare to a more modern one to see little improvements

a friend had an old one that had the firing pin be a blunt tip mine is kind of chisel tipped

Nice find. I have a '66 that was handed down to me and it is a joy to shoot very accurate.
