    Just DROSed a Ruger SR22

Since I had to give back my S&W M&P 22 pistol and the CA versions are hard to come by, I went over to Counter Strike Firearms in Hemet to find something else.

Greg had a SR22 in stock and gave me a great deal. Feels good in my hand, has great reviews online and I hope it will help fill the void until I can get another M&P 22.

Anyone else have a SR22? Any thoughts? Do they have good resale value in case I decide not to keep it when I get the S&W?

I love shooting mine. No issues so far. You gotta try some CCI Stingers in that SR22. I will eventually sell it for a M&P 22.

I've recommended the SR22 to a friend since he is in the market for a .22 handgun. I didn't know M&P came in a .22. Back to the drawing board....

The M&P does come in 22, but be careful. There are 3 versions. The normal 12 round free state version that has a threaded barrel. A ten round version with a threaded barrel. And a 10 round, non threaded barrel that has CA on the slide. Some shops have been selling the ten round threaded barrel since it's easy to get and the CA version is tough to come by. Very nice gun.

I have one and its a sweet lil shooter. Eats most of the crap ammo.
I'm stocked up on federal bulk ammo and it runs flawless thru the gun. So I'm happy about that.

Good choice, I think you'll be very happy.

I don't know about resale value. If I tried to sell ours, it would be vetoed by the wife.

Just remember: the recoil spring is supposed to be solidly connected to the guide rod, it's not like a Beretta.

You won't be disappointed with the sr22p, excellent platform, good trigger and well built.

Overall a great .22LR pistol as others have said. But I found one thing that I am not fond of. The rear sight appears to be tensioned on the left by a spring, and a screw (which adjusts the windage) holds the sight in on the right. The last range day I noticed the sight can be wiggled left and right in it's setting.

I'm of the opinion that the rear sight should be 'set' and no movement (excluding that needed to sight in) should occur. Maybe a small thing for a plinker but I felt it worth mentioning.

Bought one for my wife. It was a little finicky the first 500 rounds but it runs flawlessly now on cheap Federal Bulk...I am very impressed with this little pistol.
