Using a stock designed for a bull barrel

I found a pretty nice aftermarket stock only issue is that it's made for the bull barrel but I'm still using the factory stock barrel. Will I have any issues?

You should not have an issue as long as the stock in inletted for your receiver. I have 2 stocks cut for bull barrels used with sporter (tapered) barrels. Fit perfectly. Got em from Boyd's Gunstocks. One is a CZ and the other is a Marlin 925M. No issues, dropped right in. The barrels are floated for sure. About 1/8" clearance on both sides and under the barrel.

only issue was the previous owner "diy'd" a rail on with screws and i need to put on my bi-pod that mounts on a swivel stud. so I'm hesitant to drill near the holes in case its too weak to support it.

Or get a bipod that attaches via the rail such as this:

If you do end up going with a rail mounted bi-pod and want to get rid of your old swivel mounted bi-pod let me know
