Suggestions for Ruger MkIII 22/45 mods?

I have a Mark III 22/45 which I have modified so far only on the outside. I have attached a pair of aftermarket grips (my model is not the detachable grips model - I had to drill holes for the new grips) and used the provided rail to mount a Bushnell TRS-25 RDS.

Now I want to make the following mods:

* Removal of magazine disconnect
* removal of LCI (not that important, but the dirt it accumulates offends my OCD tendencies)
* improvement of trigger pull

The only parts worth upgrading to is the Sam Lam Bushing, the Volquartsen Sear, and the Volquartsen Trigger.

The sam lam bushing is a good choice, will get rid of some of the factory trigger grit from the mag disconnect.

Bpatza on the rimfirecentral forum makes nice lci filler pieces that clean the looks of the gun up. Not too much fitting for stainless, but the blued ones are slightly undersized, cause lets face it, you dont wanna sand it down then reblue it!

Most people jus get the volquartsen sear and hammer and leave it at that. The trigger pull is insanely light at this point, and unless you want overtravel trigger adjustment, not really necessary to pay extra for the trigger.

Getting rid of the mag disconnect was one of the best mods I did. I hated that thing. Also, the mags drop free now, double bonus.

The Volquartsen accurizing kit is a nice upgrade. I also went with a set of Williams fiber optic sights for mine. Makes it easier to shoot in dimly lit indoor ranges.

For the LCI, there's a guy on Rimfire Central that has inserts to fill in the gap when you remove the LCI. They look very nice and are only $20 if I remember correctly.

Do all of your 22/45s feed hp rounds ? Mine sticks to feed ramp almost every round .. Push right into lip of ramp..very disappointed

My 22/45eats everything so far, 22/10 does not like Walmart federal bulk pack! Great info everyone thanks, was considering sending out to brimstone for 70 trigger job, what do you all think? Or just gets the VQ parts mentioned earlier?

Just get MKII bushing, VQ Target Sear & Target Trigger. After some fine tune adjusting of the VQ Trigger's overtravel & pretravel screws, you will have an amazing trigger. Minimal range of motion, glass break, and decent reset. I found the trigger plunger spring that comes with the VQ Trigger to be a little too weak for a positive reset, so I used the factory spring with the new trigger & plunger..works g000000d.
