Marlin 795 in a ACR stock

    Marlin 795 in a ACR

Paid $70 shipped for this broken airsoft gun

Just finished gutting and bolting it in. Took me 1.5 hours so far.
I should be done with this in a week.

    Upper receiver is metal
Lower receiver and stock are plastic

    Things to do.
Purchased the missing handguard with rails
    Drill hole for safety button
Extended lever for mag and bolt release
Add a gutted PMAG and JB Weld the 795 magazine to it
    Repaint flat black
    Add AFG

        Tada. My .22LR ACR. lol

Still need to drill out a hole to create an extension for the safety and mag/bolt release

Then its off to the range!

ugh i had fail to feeds because of my bent magazine release. everytime i fired a shot, the magazine would slide down which doesnt feed the next bullet. bullet ejections were ok.

i need to buy a replacement mag release and some better ammo. i was using bulk remington gold bullets

other that the FTF, people at the ranged liked my conversion. the range officer said that the owner of the gun range wanted to talk to me. met with the owner and she loved my conversions and was asking how or if i can make one for her son. i kindly told her i didnt have the time and resources to sell these and she understood. she wants me to bring my guns again so her 8 year old can shoot them. maybe i can get some free range time in exchange. =)

action/barrel were solid in the stock.

onto the vids. you can see that i had to keep pushing the magazine up and recharge it in order to feed the bullet

Nice job as always defcon. Question, do you think this mod will work out on a Marlin 60? or have you done any mods on a 60 to tacticool it?
                        Thanks

yes its easier to work with a Marlin 60 since i dont have to deal with a magazine. its easier with a tube fed. im buying 2 Marlin 60 with 18 rounds soon and will be using it on my TAR21 and L85

Thanks defcon. If you dont mind sharing your knowledge/experience, how did you made the trigger to work? I mean it looks like the 795 upper receiver is too high from the trigger. Did you need to fashion out some kind of metal bar in the lower attached to the trigger connecting to the upper receiver?
It seems like, for a newbie wanting do some modding on a Marlin, the easiest looks like an M14/SOCOM rifle?

i cut half of the trigger off the Marlin 795. use a trigger off one of my airsoft guns and used a clamp. i tried JB welding the triggers together but it didnt hold up

yes youre right its high so i had to create an extensions using another trigger

thats usually the trickiest part of using a Marlin 795 is the trigger extension and the magazine and bolt release
