Marlin 795 for $153 at Big 5

Thanks for the info! I've been looking at 10/22 and 795's since I heard about the Appleseed project. I started my 10 day on one of these rifles last night. Some tech-sights and a sling are on the way so I can set up a Liberty Training Rifle. The total rifle cost is $193 out the door with 10% off the sale price. Total cost on the Liberty Rifle is $285 out the door. That's where the base model 10/22 starts before I add sights or a sling. Compared to my Arsenal AK-74 or my M4 the 795 felt really light but that can be fixed with a lb or two of led weights. The tech-sights should also help smooth out the look.

My local big 5 said that they will no longer carry the mags for the marlin. So buy them up while you can.

Dros'd mine today! Had to drive a short way to the next Big 5, my store was sold out. The clerk was actually a lot better there anyway, so it worked out. Part of my birthday present to myself, the other being a Ruger mk ii target. Rimfire madness!

Great price! I paid around that for mine form LGS. Decided to support a local shop over the CoD kiddies at the Big5 pushing the "Bro, it's like what Spec-Ops uses!!" Umarex/Colt M4 22.
