    Savage Scopes?

What kind of scopes come on the savage .22LR? The XP package models? Brand, quality, etc.

Don't know what brand but usually they are 4x or 3-9x scopes and not the best quality. Most folks replace them pretty quickly after purchase. Best guess is that it will be some cheap Chinese made scope costing around $30-$40 if purchased separately so don't expect good quality or glass. Probably OK for plinking but beyond that look to spend a minimum of $200 for a decent scope.

      Bushnell.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

        my savage .30-06...

...came with a Bushnell scope. It might have survived .22lr, but .30-06 blew out one of the internal lenses. The $60 centerpoint I bought from walmart for the savage .22lr has been on the .30-06 for a year now with no problems. The Bushnell came back from warranty replacement as the next model up and is still sitting in the box. If you can save money, get without scope and buy a better scope (maybe even better than walmart).
