    10/22 Red Dot Magnifier

Bought a 30mm Tru Glo Red Dot when it was on sale for $30 shipped. Looking for a magnifier now... thoughts?

I don't know if you have enough room. What kind of rail setup do you have?

At the moment, just the stock rail... but I'm considering the UTG quad rail or something to get the room for it. Suggestions?

You'll need something like the UTG quad rail, a smaller red dot or a stock such as the Arkangel. Just don't see how you'd be able to fit that long red dot and a magnifier on there. Just don't see how you'd fit both on the small rail as it sits.

I ordered the UTG quad rail. Now, on to the magnifier. Any suggestions for an inexpensive one?

Primary Arms. Very good product at a very good price. No, it's not EOTech or the like, but if you aren't going to war with your 10/22, you'll be fine. Marshall himself will tell you to order the real deal if you need it.

I have a 3x magnafier for an aimpoint

I am not happy with the set up. I think i would be better off with a 1-4 power scope. The gap between the magnafier and the red dot allows light in and then the image is degraded.

I have not have good luck with the lower cost magnifiers. The optic is just not clear to me...

I have the Tru-Glo 2x red dot. I have to admit that it is the best <$100 sight I've come across. Here's a pic of when it was mounted on my AR. Seems fairly sturdy for plastic and I love the large eyepiece.

I got one of those and liked it so much I went ahead and got a 4x one. I use it on my ar22 but I've thought of trying it on my 556 and 9mm. FWIW because I got the 4x my 2x is for sale....
