Why SO many Sig Mosquito in Marketplace

    Just wondering .......................

Why are there always a few Sig Mosquito pistols in the market place???

And usually the seller is posting "" only XXX rounds down the barrel ""
    ( Didn't like it Or What ?? )

Or the seller is including extra mags and sometimes even throwing in some ammo in with the deal

So .. the seller had some intent of useing it if he spent the extra $$ for more mags . Gear ..Ect ....

( Sorry if this has been covered before )
But ...I'm wanting to know . Are these .22 pistols worth the money ??
Are there a Lot of jamming problems ??
    Defects ??????

    Input appericated........................

    They are jam-o-matics...
Plus they have one of the worst triggers I have ever felt.
    My friend regrets getting his..

To break one in you are supposed to shoot CCI minimags for like 200 or 500 rounds cant remember which. Then they supposedly feed other rounds after that...
That is probably why you see round counts advertised.

My buddy bought one used here on CGN. We took it to the range the day after he got it out of jail. It wouldn't feed anything. We tried CCI minimags, stingers, velocitors, remington, federal, etc. We tried 8 different rounds and nothing keep it from jamming, stove piping, failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to eject.
      They are total POS.
One thing the Sig sales rep did say, is Sig doesn't make it. It is made by another company and SIG is just stamped on it.

Trigger sucks and it jams (FTF and FTE) on anything except CCI and Blazers.

You can forget ever using the bulk packs from Walmart.

Mine has been flawless with cci mini mags or higher velocity rounds.

It chokes on bulk stuff - federal game shok for example. The Federal is definitely not shooting the same as mini mags despite federal printing 1240 fps on the box. No way. You can feel and hear the difference when shooting the federal game shok compared to mini mags.

Crappy trigger. Double action prevents accidental and sometimes intentional discharges with new shooters. Single action isn't bad, kind of squishy. The gun feels kind of cheap. Mine prefers CCI Minimag. I can shoot about 200 rounds before it starts to fail to feed. I can shoot about one hundred rounds of Federal Bulk pack before it starts to fail to feed. I use it mainly with new shooters and it's great for that. Definitely not an all day pinker.

For some unknown reason I really want the new OD green model.

I love mine. It is a great trainer for novice shooters.

Because they're crap. Shouldn't even have the Sig name on it. And thats coming from a GSG 1911 owner (also crap)

Looks good on paper, feels great in the hand, price is right. Day after you bail it out of jail, you realize it's a jam-o-matic and list it for sale with whatever happens to be left in the bulk pack you bought and couldn't even get through.

Annoying POS is the how I describe it. It had to go back to SIG and they supposedly reamed the breach and changed out the springs. They just so happened to include a new cleaning/lubing procedures sheet too.

I was looking at one. Found out the same thing you have. Ended up with a Beretta Neos (which I'm thrilled with).

A few months ago I spoke with the gunsmith at my local gun shop and he felt that the NEW Mosquitos were ok, the older ones were to be avoided. I have no idea how to tell the newer from older, where the serial numbers begin on good ones. I got a Ruger Mk. III 22/45 for my .22 pistol.

I bought the Ruger SR22 for my son and this thing eats everything. Definitely an all day plinker. I am tempted to buy myself one just so we don't have to share.
