    Iconic S&W Rimfire Revolver

    1953 K-22, 5 screw

    All good now.

Gunsmith said it hadn't been shot enough to loosen up, so he tuned the action and reshaped the cylinder bolt which was dragging.

A little touch of Van's cold blue, and we're headed to the range tomorrow to see how it shoots!

Beautiful. The classics never go out of style. I now have pistol envy.

I just fired my SW 617. It is a definite Zombie killer. Something about a Smith.

Might as well go ahead and get one now. Prices will never be going south.

I just sold two other "meh" handguns to fund the K-22.

If its anything like mine it'll be accurate as can be and as addicting as any gun you'll ever shoot.

Shot it for the first time today at 50yds.

It's as accurate as the Model 41.

Congratulations on a beautiful revolver and great shooter Doc.

Not many people these days realize just how good these older K22's are. I think they're very much worth the $500-625 a very nice one usually goes for. They will last several lifetimes with a minimal amount of maintenance.

I have a very small collection of pre-17's and pre-18's and am always looking for more.

The old Model 10 didn't match the K-22 at 50 yds, but it sure held its own.
