SR22 Purchase

I think I'm going to go get the Ruger SR22. Haven't held it or shot it but I do want it. I was going to get the Mosquito but heard it was a piece of dookie.
I want a .22 to get my daughter in the range with me.

I found it for $346.00 and have no patience on shopping around for one.

Good enough price?

I'm in Milpitas and the closest place to me quoted me $346 which isn't much more. I'm going for it.

I just got mine the other day. Have not shot it yet. 99% of the feedback is positive on them. Two common issues appear to be the safety operates backwards and the takedown level breaks.

It is tiny. But it fits my wife's and boy's hands perfect.


Stay clear of the GSG 1911 (speaking from experiance). A lot of people say the Walther P22 is a POS also.


Have heard good things about the M&P 22 (larger frame).

My GSG1911 is flawless so far with several thousand down range. Hope I do not experience any of the slide issues I am seeing online.

I was at my LGS yesterday and even the salesmen were dissing the Mosquitoe in their gun case. The SR22 seems to have gotten it right. One of my favorite plinkers.

$346 isn't a bad price. I paid somewhere between $350 - $400 for mine a few months ago. (Honestly at the time they were so hard to find that I just bought the first one I could find). Definitely a fun gun and worth the price.

I was actually leaning towards the Walther just cause I had no patience but calmed down and went with the SR22. I ordered it at Target Masters Milpitas for $346, before taxes of course. They have no idea when it will come in.

Gives me time to pay it off

They also just received a GSG yesterday and I was thinking about getting that too. I'll research it more.
