    Colt Single Action Frontier .22lr

So I just got my dads old Colt Single Action Frontier .22lr
Anyone know anything about this gun?
it looks in good condition other then a couple scratches.
    What is the quality?
Price range if I decide to sell?
    Any information would be welcome.

These were neat little 22 single-action revolvers---I have a "Peacemaker" SA 22lr/22mag version---I believe the Frontier Scout had an alloy frame and the Peacemaker a steel frame. My shoots just fine---remember these are not as sturdy as Ruger's Single Six SAs but that is not a problem if you don't abuse them. All Colt 22 SAs have been out of production for quite some time now---I would recommend not dry firing them. Price range depends on condition as there is a lot of interest from collectors and shooters, especially for mint examples---enjoy yours---they just don't make stuff like this anymore.

Oh, and lets not forget---ALWAYS ALWAYS carry these old style revolvers with the hammer down on an EMPTY chamber! The way to get the gun in this condition is to pull hammer back to half-cock, open loading gate and insert one cartridge, skip the next chamber and then load the next four---at this point you pull the hammer back to full-cock and then pull the trigger while controling the hammer with your thumb---carefully lower the hammer down on the EMPTY chamber. As always, keep gun pointed in SAFE direction while performing this operation! Safety first!!
