OK, I wasn't sure if this should go here or in "Gunsmithing".
A buddy of mine has a Colt Colteer 4-22 from who knows when. He brought it to me about a month ago to take apart and clean for the first time in... ages. He had told me of a recurring problem concerning spent shell ejection, so we both hoped a good cleaning would help. Well, I apparently didn't do a good enough job cleaning and lubricating because he said it's started failing to eject again. It worked well for a little while!
So we are both out of answers. When it was apart, the ejector and everything looked to be working well... and he's trying to put off going to the REAL gunsmith. Can anybody think of something as to why it's being so troublesome? He runs bulk CCI Blazer ammo out of it. Could it really be that I SUCK at cleaning firearms and it's time to visit the pros?!

Thanks for any input!
