.22lr AR crank/speed mag loaders

Hey Everybody!


Just picked up a Sig 522 Swat now I'm on the hunt for mods.
First thing I'm trying to order are a couple extra mags and a loader.

I see BDM offers a crank loader for $135 thats kinda steep are they all priced that much? Whats my other options besides that one?

Great choice on the 522 Swat. I was just looking at that mag loader today and it looks like the reason it is so steep in price is because they got the mag loader for the 10/22 and modified it in their machine shop to work with the BDM mags. So you can either pay for the mag loader or modify one yourself.
If you want to get more mags, I would get the steel lip mags from 44mag.com I highly recommend them and have always had excellent customer service when ordering from them.

If you really want to give it the special touch, you can CALL sig and try to order one of the swiss type folding stocks for about $160. The more you shoot the 522 the more you will want to shoot it and you'll like that stock. Get a nice bipod for it also.

The zeiss z point fits PERFECT on the 522, gives you a really good cheek weld.


Or go the scope route. If you do mount a scope with a 40mm lens, you need to get scope rings that are at least .95" or the front end of the scope will make contact with the foreend. Make sure you keep both scope rings on the receiver, the rail is not completely wiggle proof.

One other thing... The sights on the Sig are not the same height as the sights for the AR's. IF you plan to replace the rear sight for a flip up sight, you'll have a hard time getting it to zero.
