I haven't had the chance to go out to the range and fire it yet but I did some research on the model and it sounds like it's going to perform much better than my Walther P22. Anyone out there know much about the SR22? I'm just hoping that I won't be disappointed and that all those YouTube videos praising the darn thing aren't fake. In my opinion I think it's pretty cool looking and that's pretty much all I've done is look at it and then break down and put it back together.

Thanks roushstage2 I'll search it a little better this time. Unfortunately I'm not that good with computers/internet searching or boards like these so I tend to not post much. When I search I always end up reading more interesting firearms stuff and then forget what I was searching for. I have swear I have ADHD but according to the doc's I'm just getting older.Comment

There has been reviews and other threads on this forum as I have posted on some. Ruger is a top notch pistol for its purpose. There were some problems with the take down lever on some coming out of the Ruger plant. So when you get yours, just make sure that is working properly. Mine shoots CCI mini mags the best and for plinking ammo, the Remington Golden Bullets "New & Improved" from Wal-Mart worked well. The handgun is comfortable for me after changing to the larger grip and adding the extensions to the magazines. The first thing I had to buy was two extra magazines because you could really throw lead downrange fast! It was quite accurate 50 feet and less. If you wanted further distance, the Mark III would be better because of its longer barrel. For a light weight, easy to carry gun, it is one of the best IMO. The slide was a little hard for my wife to operate, but she is petite and has not developed muscles in the correct areas, I guess. All in all, enjoy your purchase and it shall treat you good for many years I am sure. Above all, Ruger is a top notch company, and if it so happens that there is a problem with your gun, they will bend over backwards to solve your problem. This is why you can always buy Ruger with confidence! (BTW Smith & Wesson is similar in their desire to keep you happy, so buy those too!)Comment
