Dawson has front and rear sights available for the M&P22. Heres a short video of the front sight installation:

I picked mine up a few days ago but haven't shot it yet. It feels "just right" to me for size and weight. I was a bit surprised that it comes with only one mag. I would gladly trade the plastic case for a 2nd mag.

Just put one in jail from Ammo Bros. #122002 model

Went in with my Xmas bonus for a 22/45... guess that'll be a later purchase.

Been meaning to pick up a dedicated 22lr pistol to practice trigger control (my Glock 23 gets pricey). Picked up a spare mag on S&W website also.

Want to do something about that lettering on the slide and intend to outline the rear sight with some white vinyl.

Added: Stole these pics from the internet, but this is what the DP sights should look like when installed:

Just got mine last week from yzernie (Board Sponsor Vendor), love it.

Got home and cleaned and did the Froglube treatment (heat up the parts, apply FL to it, let it sit and wipe off). I switched over from using Breakfree CLP. I find all my firearms are now easier to clean and my Ammo finicky Competition Ruger 22/45, now runs more smoother and reliable; even with Bulk Ammo.

            Results:
            CCI-Mini Mags: 100%
Federal 745 Champion Bulk Ammo: 99%

Federal American Eagle: 75% Had lots of FTE, FTF and few duds...tons of smoke...pretty dirty ammo.

after about a 1,000 rounds, getting some wear on the guide rod, finish wearing off; I expect this to be normal or non-issue.

only Con: Rear Sight ...I will also be switching to Dawson Precision Sights in the future.

Just put my M&P 22 in Jail from shop in San Jose!

Already ordered the Dawson Precision Sights (I knew I would not care for the stock ones)

Can't Wait... wish some of the online places had the $25 Magazines in stock... 44Mag.Com had some but wanted $40/ea still.

Got my dawson sights on, went to the range and it shot great! Fed it CCI minimags, fired 100%. Can't wait to try out other .22LR ammo.

What size front and rear sight did you get? Those Dawson sights look great.

Let us know if you find any other ammo that feeds as reliably as the CCI mini-mags.

I've tried Federal and Winchester and mine didn't like either. The one I used in Michigan ate Remington Golden Bullets just fine, but I've heard other people have trouble with them.
"We're still flying." "That's not much." "It's enough."

These are the rears here. In the description, they say to "Match with .160 Tall Front #018228" which are these sights here.

Front sight went on pretty nicely. Rear sight had to be filed to get in. Took me about 45 mins, was my very first time attempting to install sights. All I had were the provided sight pushers and a little hammer.

I have some Federal Auto Match .22LR that I am going to try out.

You still had to file the M&P22 Specific Rear Sight? I figured it would have been made to go on directly... Guess not!

Thats correct. I still had to file the dovetail slightly on the DP Fiber Optic rear sight. Keep in mind that the M&P22 slide is made of aluminum, so it is softer than the sights. If you force the sights into place, you will damage your slide. This is also mentioned in the included installation instructions.

Thanks for the info... I suspect my DP sight will arrive sometime between now and when I go pick up my M&P 22 in 10 days!

Just put one in jail last Saturday. Looks like I could win the lottery easier, than find any extra mags these days, ugh!

Got it at Turners in San Diego if anyone is looking.

                            Update:

Picked mine up from Turners today. So many people there, you'd think they were giving something away for free. The pistol feels nice in my hands and hopefully will have time to shoot it this weekend.

Anyone willing to sell any mags for these? (Never hruts to ask, right?)

                            Steve

I ordered mags from the S&W web store on 12/23. Still waiting...

                              Good luck!

Picked up my first today... I got the Smith and Wesson M&P 22 (CA)... I also have ordered an M&P 9mm (which are out of stock everyone in the area and online, just waiting for S&W to ramp up production), which is basically the same size, shape, etc, so I figured the .22lr would be a good "trainer" with much cheaper rounds for practice!

                                NEED MORE MAGS!!
