I've been looking for a nice bolt action .22 in a wood stock lately and yesterday I came upon a 1976 Glenfield/Marlin Model 25 at Shooter's Paradise for only $99. The bluing looked great, a few spots of rust but nothing a little Remoil won't fix. The stock did have a few scratches, i'll see if those lighten up after a coat or two of Renwax. The bolt face was in very nice condition, the inside of the barrel as well as the crown looked great for a 36 year old rifle. After I bought it, they let me shoot it, and with iron sights and the target at the very back of the range I was able to make quarter-sized groupings with some CCI Minimags. No failures to fire or feed. So far I'm VERY happy, I've already bought a Barska 3-9x32 scope for it.

"Sounds nice. You may want to begin searching for spare mags."
True, 7 shots per mag doesn't last long. Midway USA has factory replacements for $13 though, can't ask for a better deal.Last edited by rimfired; 06-26-2012, 4:26 PM.______________________________Comment

Good deal. I've always been happy with my Marlin rimfires."Now why doesn't somebody take out a .45 and BANG... settle it?" - Mr. LeeComment
