Buckmark HiViz sight - missing metal pin?

I was installing a Browning HiViz front sight on my browning buckmark and I noticed that it's missing a front metal pin that the original sight has. Seems to be on tight with just the screw, but is it supposed to be there?

Did you clean the screw hole & screw then blue loctite the front sight base screw?

If so, You should be GTG
