    Pimp My Lower?

Recently my rimfire decision making hasn't been great. I decided to sell my AR upper and keep the Iver Johnson, but lo and behold the Iver Johnson has a bad magazine. With only 15 rounders being available I'm now very SOL.

Long story short, I'm going to put the Iver Johnson on gunbroker so somebody in a free state can enjoy the rifle. I am looking to get tactical solution SB-X upper. I'm looking for fee back and where I can find this upper.

PS: I have decided to steer away from oddball rifles for good.

Why not use a broker to get your magazine kits, then block them to 10 rounds?

So far not every FFL has been welling to do that, much to my surprise.

It also has to do with the limited parts available on the market. The original manufacturer no longer stands behind this product since they were bought out years ago. If anything is wrong I have to send it to a gunsmith. With my M-F office job it's pretty damn difficult to get things done. To sum it up the hassle.

The AR platform would also give me more upgrade options

Exile machine will broker the mags for you...

Also, instead of the TacSol (which is decent)... I would also look at CMMG & TACCOM3G's offerings for a dedicated .22LR Upper...

It's the trouble and hassle I want to avoid. Those magazines are $55 dollars a pop so by the time I two of them in to my hands I would end up spending more than what I wanted to spend.

I know Shadow/Dave can get CMMG uppers at a discount. I can have a fully loaded CMMG upper for the price of a TacSol. The SB-X just looks awesome though.

*Yes I'm a dumb poop for selling my CMMG .22 upper. It was probably the worst gun related decision I've ever made.

Dustin I have to give it to you...I'm moving on a CMMG upper like you and many others suggested. For plinking I really don't need to spend nearly $650 on a upper when I can spend $450 and use the money saved for a nice trigger set.

You still cant go wrong though... For me, my first CMMG upper paid for itself within the first weekend or so... I now have 3 CMMG Uppers and a custom one with an Ultra Light TACCOM3G Barrel. You just save the money so quickly if you shoot a lot.

Hell, if your like some of my friends who maybe shoot 2-3k rounds a year it still saves you money.... With the TacSol, it just takes maybe an extra weekend or two to have paid for itself.

I've not really heard anything bad about the CMMG. This time I'm getting one with a railed gas block so I can put a front sight of my choice on it.

                  I shoot about 4 K rounds of .22 a year lol

                  Can't wait!

I just contacted Shadow65 for a upper so now I need to pimp out my NFA Lower

I'm thinking about a Geissele trigger and magpul CTR stock.

                    Anything else?
