    New SA-22 FTF FTE problem

Just took out my new SA-22 and constantly had FTF problems. A couple of FTE as well.

It was really frustrating since the little rifle was super accurate when it actually worked.

I cleaned it before taking it to the range. I fed it a mixture of Winchester Wildcats, Federal Gold Match and Winchester M-22. No pattern to it all ammo would exhibit problems.

Any suggestions? Should I use a particular ammo?

    Thanks.

Sounds like you've gone through all of the diagnostics. Did you try different magazines? I always hope for a quick fix.

It's kind of a tube no mags unfortunately.

Oh, I see. Is that the Browning that is a classic .22? That receiver is so tiny compared to 10/22s or Model 60s. That's a sweet rifle. My buddy's dad has one. Not super easy to clean as I recall. I wonder if your extractor is somehow the problem.

Yeah it's probably the Browning you're thinking of. Actually cleaning it is super easy. The problem I see is that it doesn't seem to feed correctly. It gets stuck outside the chamber. Almost as if the feed ramp wasn't aligned properly.

I scrubbed it real well and will try again at the range. Hopefully, after a more thorough cleaning, it will function correctly.
