yep, went to the range yesterday shot up about 500 rounds out of a Marlin 39a, Ruger 10/22 and Heritage Rough Rider, had a blast. First day out with my Rough Rider shoots quite nicely for a cheap pos. Always surprised on how accurate my Marlin is being as old as I am.

I love rimfire due to the cost of it. I can enjoy a day for less than 1 1/2 bricks...

agreed -> i spend lots more time at the range without feeling it hard in the wallet. even 9mm is too much money (even if shooting reloads)

              Hooray for .22's
              I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57

I only went three times this week, 1000 rounds. Four rifles, 2 pistolas. Cheap fun.

I try to shoot every day either target shooting or can popping with my .22's. I have one commemorative Remington GB 400 round brick I paid $4.99 for a few years back. I think it was '03. Now that was cheap. I'm just shooting my '09 stash now.

Each October I shoot only rimfire. I call it RimFest. I take the time before to get the guns ready, purchase ammo and then I take time off work and just go shooting as often as possible all month. Rimfire only. Its great just rimfire all month. No reloading. Just shooting.

Let me see just what I did in the last couple two months w/my rimfires

-sent 10/22 trigger pack to Brimstonegunsmithing
-ordered Rifle Basix sear kit for Savage MKII F
-installed HIViz front sight on Henry
-upgraded red dot sight on my CMMG upper to Eotech 517
-bought Weaver Classic scope 2.5-7x28 (10/22 Appleseed)
-bought Vortex Diamondback rimfire 2-7x35 scope (Winchester Wildcat Appleseed)

Yeah, I guess rimfires are ok....

I dont know, could be :-) maybe, maybe not, i dunno.

                              ....................................BUT........... ..............................

I was at Burro today and sighted in a new CMMG upper - FUN!
Got some sitting position time in with my service rifle practice CMMG rifle and
came to the conclusion that my CMMG AR Service Rifle practice 22lr rifle "LOVES" M22 ammo and "HATES" Federal Match white box (go figure).

Saturday, I will go to Angeles with my GSG 1911 "22lr" and Kimber 1911.
and I still believe I would reach for my 795 Appleseed deluxe rifle if the zombie hoard came to town
