Just got a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 for my 17 hmr. Any recomendations on some some scope rings? Also should I mount the scope with rings on the stock rail or should I get full rail. I will use mostly for hunting.

The bell of the scope should tell you which height of rings you'll need. On mine i mounted mine using the stock rail. Generally speaking it needs to be mounted as low to the rifle bore as possible.
