    Failure with my 10/22

Hey guys looking for a little help. Couple weeks ago I took my 10/22 out, somehow i got a double feed and didn't notice. I pulled the trigger and bang, I saw it blow out of the ejection port. When I got the rifle home I had a bullet stuck in the barrel and the shell was in the chamber with the back blown out. Got the bullet and case out with no issues and noticed that the extractor claw was gone, hahaha. So, I ordered a Volquartsen extractor installed it and tested it today. I'm getting a lot of FTF. Before this incident the rifle ran like a clock. I have heard that the Volquartsen extractor is made to use with a Volquartsen bolt not a stock bolt. What do you guys think about that? Could the barrel have been damaged and I need a new barrel? The barrel looks okay to the naked eye but that doesn't mean much. Any help would be great.

    thanks

The V extractor should work fine with the original bolt.
FTF = Fail to Feed or Fail to Fire? (I assume feed).
What kind of mags are you using?

    Your location?

You're going to need to give some more details about the failure to feed. Can you single feed? Is it with every magazine? What exactly is happening? FWIW the VQ extractor is universal fit.

I just found out it was the mags I am using, Promag. I tried the ruger ones and they feed fine. Sorry, the FTF was failure to feed. I didn't have the stock mags with me at the range, so I couldn't check. Thanks for the replies.
