    .17HMR....CZ VS Savage

looking at the Savage 93R17 or CZ453.

I also like the quick barrel change CZ455 but I'm also the more moveable parts = more things to wrong kind of guy.

    School me please......

I was looking at getting a CZ, because my friend has 1 and it is awesome. I got a great deal on a 93r17. There's nothing wrong with it, but I wish I'd bought CZ. The CZ is a higher quality rifle. You'd be happy with the Savage. But if I was spending your money... I'd get the CZ.

explain Quality please. do you mean the fit and finish is better ?. all i care about is how the rifle works and how accurate it is. im not into Jewlry. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. to me the savage is wonderful. i think a Camry is a better car than a BMW also.

        It's just my opinion.

I found my friends CZ to be slightly more accurate off a bench against my Savage. I'm not into jewelry either, but I like a pretty gun that shoots good.

I like my Honda civic just fine... But it ain't ***** compared to my dads BMW750. But I'm not sure what that has to do with the OPs question

Bottom line is that the .17HMR round is inherently accurate. I have shot that round out of my Savage 93r17 BTVS and a Harrington and Richards Handi Rifle (single shot break down rifle). At 50 yds the groups looked nearly identical. My Savage will shoot sub MOA groups @ 100yds in calm wind.

Get the rifle that appeals to you and don't look back.

PS: I own a CZ in .22lr and its quality and craftsmanship exceeds that of my Savage.
