    Walther PPK/S 22lr question

I just picked up a Walther PPK/S in 22lr. On the right side of the slide it has Walther Arms Fort Smith AR and on the left side it has the Walther logo along with Made in Germany. The serial # range is WF095XXX. Can any one give me a little info on this pistol?

My guess, made in Germany, imported by Fort Smith.

Are the markings you mention only on the frame or is one set on the frame and another set on the slide.
Walther USA imports parts from Germany, but the frame may be made here for tax/legal reasons.
The final assembly is definetly done in the USA for tax/legal reasons.

Your pistol was made in Germany and imported by Walther Arms located in Fort Smith AR. You could also find "DE" on it. That's the German country code, also an indication of where it was made. There's probably a 2 letter date code somewhere on it. A=0, B=1, C=2, D=3, E=4, F=5, G=6, H=7, I=8, K=9, with the letter J omitted.

        Hope this helps.
