    Ruger LCP2 22LR hammer sticking

I just noticed my LCP2 hammer would "stick" as in not dropping after squeezing the trigger. It would drop sometimes. But other times it would stick after I pull the trigger fully rearward, after a split second or a little movement in my trigger finger, then it would fall. Has anyone encountered this problem?

My LCP2 has had over 2600 rounds through it, and I only noticed this problem over the last 400 rounds or so. The first 2000+ rounds were trouble free.

Did you talk to someone at Ruger? I recently (like last week after a couple of weeks since sending it in) my MKII to replace the sear spring. No charge.

Mine recently started malfunctioning and I believe it's the extractor spring...which no one will send to CA. ๐Ÿ™„

I field stripped it last night to take a look at the sear. It appears the sear is a little bit askew, but I have no way to be certain since I don't have another one to compare with. I pushed the sear toward the right side of the gun to see if it would be more "straight (or square)." Reassembled it. Dry fired a few times. It seems better. I will try at the range a few more times to see if the issue comes back. Maybe the recoil jarred something loose. I will send it to Ruger if the problem comes back. I know Ruger has great customer service, but it's just the hassle of sending this in.
