    Henry Golden Boy Question

I'm about to buy one and want to know if there is a California version of this rifle. Is it limited to 10 rounds in the tube?

    Thanks!

Tube fed rifles are not limited to 10 rounds in California . There is not a "California " model, they are all compliant

To clarify, tube-fed lever-action rifles are exempt, and tube-fed .22 caliber rifles are exempt.

Just put one in Jail - looking forward to trying it out with the Aguila Super Colibri's for plinking in the back yard.

I have a Henry large loop .22 carbine, and flat love it. Very fun rifle and smooth as silk right out of the box. You won't be sorry you got a Henry.

Did you start with the large loop or install it? Wondering if it's a worthwhile upgrade

What ammo works best for your Henry? I know it can vary from rifle to rifle but just curious if there is a general brand that works pretty well. Might save me from buying a bunch of different ammo.

Colibri and Super Colibri are recommended for use in pistols only. I have shot many rounds of Colibri in my Henry Frontier without issue. Just be aware that some folks have had the bullet NOT EXIT THE BARREL when shot in a rifle. Make sure that the bullet has exited the barrel every time you shoot. A lodged bullet in the barrel followed by another shot results in a bulged barrel and only fix is a new barrel. BEWARE!

Depends on what type of shooting you will be doing with the Henry. For plinking and general target work just about any ammo will work. My Henry is not picky about ammo for plinking. For more accurate/precise work I use Wolf Match Target and Aguila Pistol Match ammo. I don't use Blazer ammo as some have had leading issue with it.

I have been shooting CCI Mini Mags in my H001T and the performance has been excellent. Have an H006 (44 mag) in transit to serve a 10-day jail sentence. Cannot wait to bust that rifle out of jail.

I shoot Super Colibris in my Henry H001 without any problems. One of this rifle's many benefits is I can use a variety of ammo depending on whether I'm at home in the front yard--Super Colibris, CB Shorts, CB Longs, and CCI Quiet .22--or the public range--CCI SV, Mini-Mags, Velocitors, Federal Bulk. I like the H001 so much I'm getting a Youth Model next for it's compactness and portability.

                          Hey all,
My h001 loves those super colibri. For general target cci mini-mags do well and hunting it likes the super X and expediter or however you spell that do very well. Just be careful as they jam easily.

It came with the large loop, part of the reason I got that model. Looks and works great, but I am not sure if an upgrade would make sense moneywise.

Thanks for the reminder. I was aware of the issue, but its worth being careful.
