I need optic recommendations for my Sig 522lr

Ill be interested to see what people recommend, I would like some kind of optic for my 522 in the future. Are you sure its not going to come with iron sights? I got mine from big 5 and was told the 522's they sell have always come with sights. I thought maybe all the newer ones did.

I would think your gonna need a serious scope to shoot out to 300 yards, can a .22 even do that?

I bought mine from Big 5 too and the clerk was very clear it does not come with sights. Everything I have been reading said it does not come with sites but if it does, that would be a pleasant surprise. Even if it does come with sites, I still want to put a scope on it. I’ve been looking at the Nikon Prostaff 3-9-40 but I would like other suggestions also. I would like to hear about some other quality brands pros & cons.

Nikon prostaff. There were some pretty good sales recently. But if you want something for closer any of the cheaper red dots will work too. It's a .22 most anything will work

At 300 yards with a 100 yrd zero, and cci minimag, you'll have approx 110" of bullet drop. A full value 5mph wind will push it 23". Just giving you some numbers to get you in the ballpark. Have fun.
