question about red dot sight with high mount

I have been doing some research on different red dot sights. It came across that there are various height mounts as well.

And since my setup will not have any iron sight, so there will be no concern for cowitness. The reason I choose higher mount is because I want to leave the option open for future magnifier add on.

My question is, if I get a higher mount, will the red dot still be able to zero in without any issue?

    Thanks in advance.

You don't say what you're putting the sight on. If it's on an AR15 style rifle then I'd go with a standard AR height setup to keep everything standard. If it's going on a conventional rifle then I'd go low to keep the best possible cheekweld.

I'm thinking to put a Multi-Reticle 2MOA Red Dot Sight for M3 Style Mounts with "Primary Arms High Cantilever 30MM Mount" on a sig 522.

What he said! The Sig uses the rail system so the AR platform will be just fine.

The Cantilever mount will only work if you run AR sights on your 522.

          Edit:
Sorry I miss read your original post.

Anyhow, you still have a co-witness option if you use the Midwest industries 522 FS with an AR rear sight. However, you will have to use more of a "chin weld" with the high AR mounts.
