    sig 522

purchased a sig 522 and placed the stock front sight on her. was shooting and noticed that it wasn't shooting at the point of the sight but more at the base. does anyone have the same issue with their sig, i mean once i found that out i was shooting straight and true.

this is what i'm taking about, i was aiming at the yellow arrow and shots were off.

when i adjusted for at the red arrow, shots were on target.

it doesn't look like there is anyway to adjust the sight unless i'm wrong. please someone help me.

You should be able to adjust elevation on your rear sight.
Bring the rear sight down to elevate your point of impact.

^^^ what he said. Also, if you aren't using the stock rear sight this could be a problem as well. I bought a LMT fixed rear and it ended up being too tall to use with my stock front sight causing my aim to be 2-3' too high!

yeah, my stock rear sight broke, i was using a regular fixed rear and that was basically the case. thanks guys..... guess i'll just truglo the front sight to remind me point of aim and point of impact. real quick, do you think i should dremel off the top part so i can have a better sight picture?

ah! now we get to the root of the problem.
What kind of "regular fixed rear" are you using? If it's not for a 522, I doubt you'll manage to get good results.

My advice? Get a red-dot from Primary Arms. And don't put a dremmel to your front post.
