AR 22lr, Charging Handle Assembly, what is the difference between these two?

What is the difference between the CMMG charging handle and the standard from Spikes?

The Anti-Jam charging handle doesn't have the shallow grove that standard charging handles have. Instead its mostly solid so that an ejected shell casing cannot get lodged in between the charging handle and bolt. Jams like that are probably the worst that can happen.

Is it really needed? For some people/some setups... Maybe.... Some people have issues with jams like that... Others dont.

Had it happen 2 times out of 500 rounds, I'll put it off until last next month.

If your charge handle is only going to be used for a 22RF upper.....you can also just use a little JB weld and fill the front 2 or 3 inches of that slot....leaving a concave hollow with your finger tip.

Old trick.....if you have some JB weld laying around
