    SR22

After 3 months of waiting, I was finally able to put one of these in jail for my son. I like the amount of accessories that Ruger packs with them (2 mags, 2 extra floor plates, 2 grips, bag, etc. I only wish they would have included a nicer box for transport. I already have a couple quick access safes that it will be living in, but a nice fitted case would have been nice.

Because of the scarcity of it, I did not get it for the best price in the world, but you can't blame the dealer for putting on a premium for something that is so rare.

Now, the bad part. I told the wife it finally came in and she is gunna make me wait until his birthday to give it to him. It's gunna kill me to have to wait. At least he does not know about it so he won't be bugging me about it early.

I wish, she already warned me about doing that. If his grades were up, it would not be a problem, but with his grades in the cellar (because of his ADHD), she does not want to reward him.

Just went out and bought one for the wife last week, she loves it and you guys will too. This will make you Ca people sick but where I live I walked in and bought it for her while she and my Son ran to the gas station. By the time they got back it was paid for and I was standing in front waiting for them. No waiting period is sure great huh I do have a State issued Handgun purchase permit but either way even if I did not it would not take much longer. Rifles and shotguns are a total walkin and out scenario however without the handgun permit..Why California cannot run instant Background checks is a mystery to me..Or issue a permit for 5.00 that gives you clearance for three years like they do in most other places.

                OP,

I feel your pain man! I had to wait about 1.5 months to find one around here in the LB area. I got it last week and put about 700 trouble-free rounds through it. Literally not one problem and I was in the dessert with wind. It felt as though my face was getting sand blasted, so I am sure there will be plenty of sand inside the gun.

You will be happy you bought it!

It's a money thing. If they can get us for $35 each time, then it's more money for them to waste.

@peterhungle, me too. But on the plus side, I did inherit a few family heirlooms when my dad passed. Since my son is an only child, he already know he is getting those, along with anything else I acquire. Lucky kid, doesn't have to duke it out with his siblings to get pick of the litter.
