.17 MACH 2

So I'm looking for a new gun or an AR upper in .17 Mach 2. I already have a Savage 93R17 BSEV in .17hmr, but would like the Mach 2 as well just for something a bit different. I already know all the ballistics differences but the M2 is WAY cheaper to plink with. Basically a training round for my .17hmr varmint gun. I may just buy the Savage MKIII in the Mach 2 caliber in a different color so I can remember which round goes in which gun, but was curious if anybody had any other ideas of guns that take the Mach 2 round rather than the HMR round. I've only found a couple, and if anybody comes up with an upper thats decent priced, I'll buy ya a beer! :cheers:

CZ made some in HM2 but I believe they are out of production now. Might want to look @ gunbroker or other auction sights or check the classifeds over at rimfirecentral.com. They come up there once in a blue moon.

While new guns in 17m2 are slim, it's heartening that Hornady just recently came out with a non-lead version of the 17m2.

The Savage MKIII is a fine gun, but you will have no problem finding a broad variety of 17m2 guns used online. I have a Marlin and a Thompson G2 contender in 17m2.
