Just made first purchase from Buds

Bought a Ruger SR22 pistol.

I have never used Buds before, but saw this one and had to do it. Roughly speaking, how long does it "typically" take to get the order processed and shipped out? I'm mainly curious and obviously excited. I can't wait to get this in and take my 9 year old son out shooting with it. He already has a 10/22 and shoots the heck out it...and very well I might add. Can't wait to see how he does with this pistol. Super excited dad, I am.

I order from them quite a bit. Usually takes under a week to get firearms out. Not the quickest, but they do have some kick nalgas prices.

buds gun shop is super fast shipping for me. best online gun shop there is as far as purchasing new firearms.

Which FFL did you use if you dont mind me asking? Im also in Cen Cal...thanks for the feedback on Buds :-) Also looking for an SR22.

I used Alquist Arms in Turlock. I use them for most of my stuff. Close by, good prices and easy to deal with.

I've used them for puchases from Davidson Gun Genie before several times. Always went really smooth.

1 down side is they are always busy as heck.

Buds status already shows going into Shipping department. That WAS fast!

I ordered a RIA 45acp Tactical last Sunday my local FFL in Kommiefornica had it by the following Weds, 3 days total, if that helps.

Do you guys think with transfer fee and shipping bud's is still a better deal than going to a local gun shop? I've been going in circles with myself about this, I can't always find what I want at a lgs. Thanks

That just depends on what you're buying. Somethings are cheaper even with the transfer fees and somethings cost more by the time you add the transfer fee.

I usually figure 3-5 business days to ship.

Well said. I just bought a RIA Tactical from Buds after handling one at gunshop down in the Valley. It was cheaper to do that then to buy from the Valley store. So you have to just figure out all the costs involved. My local FFL had the pistol 3 days after I placed the order. Simple math plus time and effort involved. I would have had to drive 120 miles each way to complete the deal with the Valley store after the 10 day wait.

Of course you do, the sales tax is collected by the FFL.
