    10/22 stores in la

So I recently bought a 10/22 for appleseed I put the tech sights on it. My dad bought one too and got the same sights and then also bought a better trigger I feel a competition is about to begin. I would like to get a new stock first are there any stores that carry upgrades for 10/22 or is it gonna be like my AR and order everything from the Internet. I'm in the Los Angeles area any help would be great. I just want to feel the stock before buying one

Online, unless you can find a gunsmith near you.

http://www.hawktecharms.com/offers free shipping on many basic Ruger 10/22 upgrade parts.

You'll save money buying online. Great online sources include Kidd, Shooter's Discount, and Boyd's. Kidd's triggers are in my opinion the very best and their barrels are among the best. Shooter's Discount stocks a huge selection of al kinds of 10/22 parts and stocks including Revolution and S&K, and Boyd's is a direct to the public stock manufacturer.

I'd avoid Hogue stocks and go with wood or wood laminate because most synthetic stocks flex way too much throwing off your POI. Both wood and wood laminate are much more ridged with laminate a bit more temperature and humidity stable but I happen to like like American Walnut for it's looks (bottom 2 photos). Make sure that the stock you pick fits the barrel profile that you'll be using. Most aftermarket stocks are intended for use with a ".920" diameter barrel but a few are made for use with the factory (aka "sporter") barrel profile (see second photo).
