    Glock 44

Just ordered a Glock 44 22lr. I’ve heard they can be picky with ammo. What has worked reliably with you guys?

For pistol (Ruger MKII) anything. For rifle (10/22 & GSG MP5-22) ditto.

Here is an old thread on your Q.

My Glock 44 is failing to cycle every round. Out of 2 10rd magazines,I had 1 stove pipe and every round fired but failed to cycle. Ammo is 22 LR 40 Grain Norma tac-22 lead round nose. What could the problem be here. Please discuss.

When I worked at the gun range, we had two Glock 44's as rental guns. I ran Winchester, Remington, CCI, Aguila, and Federal through them. Both guns happily digested all of the above, without jams, provided the guns got the standard periodic cleaning as with any gun. Don't clean 'em, yep, they'll jam, again, like just about any gun.

I've come to really like the Glock 44. It's a lightweight Glock 19 that shoots (relatively) inexpensive .22LR with very little kick. It's just plain fun to shoot!

No problems with mine either, although I think I've only run copper plated/ jacketed.

Federal Automatch, Aguila super X and Remington Golden bullets are what I mostly run in mine all have proven to be very reliable in it. The Two 10 round Glock mags are super reliable, but I mostly use the 18 round Pro-Mags in mine. It took a little breaking in for them to get reliable, I have six of them and load them to 16 rounds. They are now very reliable as long as the mags are loaded correctly.

Ran 200 flawless rounds of Remington golden through it today, more reliable than I thought it would be. The sights were way off from the factory, never had that happen before from Glock. It will have its place as a fun range toy and training tool.

I have probably 5k of 40gr Copper Plated Federal HV through mine and I can't remember the last jam.

It's like the polar opposite of my LCP 22.

It’s really a stellar 22lr, I have well over 12,000 rounds fired out of my G44 and it still looks like a pretty new gun and continues to just run fantastic. The fact you can put any site on it would put on a G19 as well as other mods just makes it even better, not to mention the vast selection of holsters for it. Just another home run by Glock.
