$419.00 msrp is quite high. I hope the price comes down.
Damn democrats are turning me into a republican.

Nice, but I heard it's just as bad as the P22.

I like it. Was considering a 22lr like the SR or P22. This just complicates things....

I shot my friends and didn't had any issues. Used different type of .22 ammo. Felt like a full size M&P.

Still have to wait for it to go into production.

No distributor currently has the S&W M&P-22 CA (SKU 122002) in stock.
It's so new that it's not even listed on the S&W website.

Hmmmm. Did not cross check the SKU. The 10 round version on Smith's website is SKU 122000. I wonder if there is a typo somewhere, or there is a new model coming?

Rogers Shooting School just adopted this gun (Non-CA M&P .22) and the full-size 9mm as their school loaner guns.

I attended the first 5-day Basic class to use them. The group shot around 36,000 rounds total out of about 16 guns (12 .22 cal and 4 9mm) (i.e., slightly less than 3K round per gun) and had no issues. They were box stock and essentially brand new.

We cleaned them at day 3 or probably 2,400 rounds per gun. They were obviously dirty but I did not see any of them malfunction. One gun did have a roll pin that "walked" slightly out of its hole twice.

I was impressed and intend on getting a .22 version. Buds has the SKU 122000 10-round version for $360 and free shipping.

Tried to order it from Buds but they Cancelled my order.

Kind of wonder if this has the threaded barrel.

                    Here is their explanation:

"We cannot ship this gun to Calif, it must have CA in the part number in order to be shipped to your state."

It's a new model that will not have a threaded barrel.
Not sure if the slide markings will be different, "M&P 22 CA" instead of "M&P 22".

How are they assembling them without a threaded barrel? The barrel nut is what holds the barrel into the block, I had one guy at walther tell me that removing the flats from the barrel nut so it cannot be grabbed by a wrench then epoxying the threads and that satisfied doj. My father bought me one for my birthday before it was on roster and I am still trying to figure out how to get it into CA due to the barrel issue and s&w/walther are no help at all
