Sig Mosquito sent back and repaired

About 9 months ago I got a Sig Sauer Mosquito. I love the gun, but just like everyone else, I would get quite a few FTF and an occasional FTE. I would say maybe 1 FTF every 20-30 rounds. So not real bad, but still too frequent for my taste. I tried various ammo types including winchester Super-X, Federal Champion, CCI Blazer, and CCI minimags. Minimags worked the best, Blazers and Super X was about the same, and Federal the worst.

Since it had a 1 year warranty, I sent it back to Sig and explained the FTF and FTE problems. They emailed me a prepaid UPS label to send it to them, and I got it back about 3 weeks later. Here is what they did to the gun (exact words from paperwork).

    Inspected the pistol.
    Reamed the barrel.
Chamfered barrel feed ramp and the chamber intersect.
    Adujusted the ejector.
Adjusted the slide to frame fit.
Test fired 30 rounds of CCI minimags with no malfunctions.

I took it to the range today. I only had Federal Champion ammo, which was previously the worst one. I fired about 100 rounds and had no malfunctions. Pretty happy with the results. I'll have to go to the range with different ammo types.

awesome. maybe it's just me but i think i got lucky with my mosquito. i've tried about 50 rounds of every bulk .22lr i could find and CCI minimags. i have never had a FTF or FTE (knock on wood). my mosquito eats everything. currently i only use CCI minimags or Federal 525 bulk.

If guns are outlawed, then an outlaw I'll be...
