        Anyone know if this will fix a up/down alignment issue? My barrel is canted like 3 degrees downwards.

          i think that's a warranty issue.

            Yea... My LGS guy already on the phone with them.. Kinda sucks if I have to do DROS again... At 50 yards it was shooting something like 20 feet low. With the scope maxed out it was still 2 feet low.....

              you have got to be kidding me!! really 90-100$ for using their FFL? thats outrageous I am glad I moved away when I did. my local FFL charges me 15$.
              and we have no tax,

              I am really pissed off for you guys tho Cali. is worse than the mob shoot I'd rather pay them for protection.

                i see a mistake a made when writing that. i'll edit.

                PPT = $35
                Transfer from another store PPT or NEW = $90 - $100 FFL license rental + $35 for DROS + TAX on price of gun and shipping.

                  Picked up my 10/22 Take Down Today

                  Picked up my 10/22 today and no alignment issues at all. Did not get a chance to shoot it (will do Friday) but gun seems well put together. Mounted a silver Simmons 3-9x32 A/o scope on it and it looks great. Gun with scope fits in bag with no problems. Will get back on Friday after shooting it.

                      I think I'm going to buy a Ruger 10/22 TD soon. But I'm really new to this stuff, so can someone explain to me what is a alignment issue, and how to detect it?
                      Does anyone have a photo of an badly aligned one for reference?

                        That explains why there was so much play between both halves. It kind of bummed me out and decided not to purchase it......................maybe I should ran back and see if its still there after the new year.

                            Thanks! That cleared things up. Maybe you should put those in the main post as well, it will clarify the tutorial good.

                              So I recently picked up my 10/22 TD, and when I found this sticky, I checked my gun. How can I sell if it is not aligned properly? It all seems to fit snug and from looking straight on at that piece in question, it seems pretty much aligned. Is there any pictures out there of one that is misaligned? Thanks

                                Google is your friend. Try Rimfire central and the Ruger forum if you want more info on this 10-22. The pics here are fine, if it locks together tight then you should be good to go. JUST remember when you go to break it down or put it together make sure the bolt is LOCKED BACK.
