another one bites the dust .... Ramline mag that is

so this just has not been my year for my old Ramlines, i have split 3-50 rounders ,and this is my latest and forth 30 rounder to bite it..

now mind you that JBWeld you see on it was the repair i did on that mag over 15 years ago and held up until today

think i got my $$$ out of these old mags , didnt pay over 10 bucks for any of them back in the day and have shot gawd knows how many rounds threw them

this one split real nice and clean so should be no issue to fix but still why cant these last over 30 years geezzzzz .....

Wow, not bad considering they are Ramline. You definitely got your $$ worth, less than a buck a year

Anyway those old Ramline mags can be re-built with parts from the newer Ruger BX-25 mags?

Wish I could get my 50rd Ramlines to work in my new stainless 10/22. They worked fine 15 years ago when I last used them in my then new blued 10/22.
The Ramline loader doesn't want to load the rds when you push on the loading lever and the Butler Creek loader doesn't work either on the Ramlines. When I tried to use the 50rd mags in my new 10/22 I could shoot 1-2 rds before the was a FTF and the action jamed. Also found out the Butler Creek loader worked well with the single 10/22 mags, but wouldn't load them when in the trimag configuration. Not sure why as they look to be seated the same. Was disappointed in the old Ramilines had thought about tossing them at the range, but brought them home anyway. I guess I'll dig out the closet queen old 10/22 and see if they work in it.
