    .22 AR Pressure Plug

I recently tested this simple little gem!
If you are having light strikes or FTE's with your .22 conversion or dedicated upper and use the buffer/spring in you lower, this may help you.
It puts pressure against the end plate on the .22 BCG which in turn keeps the BCG from moving upon recoil.
I recommend this especially for the price.
    Easy to install and remove.
The shape makes it easy to close and open the upper.
    Good, cheap insurance!

    Interesting......

Wouldn't mind trying one out but shipping cost more than the product. LOL

I talked with him on the shipping. Give him a call for USPS. He's working on updating shipping options on small parts.

I'm working with him on some projects that will be real cool.
Ultra light weight .22 AR's for 3 gun matches are one I'm really looking forward to.
He is coming out with a skelotonized butt stock that will weigh 5-6 oz!
        Ultra light weight barrels too.

ok....been registered here for a couple weeks I think, and this is my first post.

I HATE paying more for shipping than the part costs!!! However, I am a firearms designer and not an INET guru. I did'nt know how to change the shipping.....figured it out now.

And....FYI.....I'm giving SERIOUS thought to signing on this board as a Dealer. This is a HUGE community!!

The Calgunners are a great bunch of people. I've met a lot of friends in the last year here.
              Lot's of .22 interest too.

Dave, have you heard of any issues running the dedicated uppers with no buffer and spring?

TACCOM3G, thanks for the quick response on the shipping. I just placed an order for a pressure plug to try out.

Some guys have issues... They seem to be very uncommon but do happen... I dont really have any issue but I bought one to see if they will improve reliability at all when I start going over the 700rd count without cleaning :P.

Yes, the bcg can move, even though the collar is snapped to the barrel. The movement can absord the impact from the hammer strike, resulting in light strikes.
If there is enough movement, it could cause the angle of the feed ramp to magazine, chamber, to be off resulting in FTF's and FTE's.

The buffer and spring can give some tension to the BCG, but not much. That is where the plug comes into play.
All bcg's don't have this problem. But it's tolerances again. If you bcg frame is shorter than the upper receiver, you could have problems.
