Just put a ruger 10/22 in jail!

At my lgs. Black Poly stock with blued barrel for 259.00 including dros and tax. It also comes with trijicon nite sights and a top rail which is pretty cool. I guess its a new model or something because i asked if the shop installed the sights and the salesman said no. When he got mine out of the back, we opened it for inspection (still sealed box) and it had the fiber optic sights on it. The gf and I will probably shoot it iron sights for a while first to get to know it before i put a scope on it. Im very excited, this is our first rifle and will be a great match with our sr22.

I have 4.....some will tell you they need to be modified to be a good shooting gun......don't buy into. Only need to upgrade if you doing it for fun.

Congrats, it's a great rifle. I think I have had more fun with mine that almost any of my other guns. Cheap easy plinking.

The 10/22 is a wonderful rifle, either in its factory configuration or modified. My first ever firearms purchase was a 10/22 back in the 1980's and I'm currently on my 3rd. They're just so reliable and there's tons of parts and accessories available to personalize them.
          I'm good with numbers:

Thanks guys. We are really stoked. I like to get 750-1000 rnds through anything and at least 3 breakdown/ cleanings before any modifications are made. That being said, I am already looking at scopes

This is my bad grammer...Modifying them makes the shootin funner! (Specially the auto bolt and a little lighter trigger). The other mods don't effect accuracy as much IMO. Have fun!

I've got a a couple of them and just bought another today for $199 plus tax and Dros. The retailer made a mistake in their ad an I pounced on it. You will love it. My hand me down 1980 carbine is my favorite. I did the home brew trigger job and auto bolt release mods then added TechSights. It'll shoot as well as if not better than most even with a scope. I love it. Today's purchase will most likely be a slow target/sniper build. Enjoy it though beware they can be habit forming.

Good choice. I've had mine for about 6 months now and can't believe how reliable and accurate it is. Only had FTE problems once with the Butler Creek mags because of 30 mph winds blowing sand everywhere. The Ruger mags worked flawlessly though. All our rifles were acting up that day so I don't really count it as a "problem". Next time out, it was like butter again! Careful with the mods, they can get addicting! Congrats and enjoy!!

That's funny I did the same thing, it should be here Thursday. After reading all the reviews on the scope it was to good of deal to pass up.

Congrats OP. I like all the after market parts available for the 10/22 so I'm wondering if you can buy the action only? If so, where would be the best place? There's is so much you can do with a 10/22, unlike my Savage TRR-SR...

I just picked mine up yesterday! can't wait to sling lead down range. I did find a zip tie in the bore when I cleaned it last night. Looked like it was put there by the factory so look out for that.
