Advice for small cowboy .22 pistol

Hi everyone. Well the wifey is knocked up and my son is due in a couple months. To commemorate his birth I would like to buy a small .22 cowboy pistol and have his name and birdcage engraved on it. My question is, what is a good one to buy. I'm looking for a well made, gonna last a lifetime, gun that my son will be proud of till he is old. Please help with this subject as my knowledge of rimfire is very limited.

sure its small.. but it has nothing on a ruger. give something worth giving..

I'll second Ruger Bearcat. It is a well made accurate, small single action revolver, that fit little hands very well. I gave Bearcats to my kids and never regret it.
