Thanks for the suggestion but I don't like forend grips. They don't feel right to me.

I'm looking for a collapseable bipod.

That is a NICE looking MP/22.....Since I can't keep track of the CA laws.....are the compensators/hiders/supressors legal on a rimfire? And how did you get the bbl darkened? The MP15-22s I've seen down here in LALA land have shiny bbls (stainless?) and nothing on the muzzle of the barrel. Also, is the handguard S&W OE?

              Again, nice looking rig.

I got the "UTG Tactical OP Bipod" on Amazon.com - the legs are a bit short if using the longer 30 round magazines but they have a taller one available. I paid about $30

                        Haven't spent too much considering...

Paid about $550 including DROS and tax for the M&P 15-22
Barrel threading and A2 compensator $85
                        StrikeFire red dot optic $150
                        Magpul CTR $75

I figure it's a somewhat inexpensive hobby - my wife doesn't mind and also likes to shoot it on occasion

A compensator is legal on a rim fire, although as far as I know, flash supressors are forbiden.

The barrel is stock from the factory - never seen a stainless on a 15-22

Handguard is also stock from the factory

The Evil Features stuff only applies to centerfire rifles, rimfire rifles are exempt. Flash hiders are perfectly legal on a rimfire rifle, along with pistol grip, collapsible stock, forward grip, etc., all with detachable mags.

Pistol laws are different though, rimfire is NOT exempt from the pistol evil feature list. Isn't CA great?

I see you're in S.F. like me. I'm waiting to pick my 15-22 up and wanted to get the barrel threaded also. Where did you get yours done?
