K22 Cylinder Latch Question

I just picked up a post war era K22 and noticed that the cylinder latch seems a little loose. I can move it up, down, forwards and backwards maybe 1/32 or 1/16 inch in all directions. Tried tightening it down but it was already snug.

Nope. Check the latch transfer bar (probably not the correct term) and see if it is loose or damaged. Should be tight.

If you mean the thumb latch on the left side of the frame, then yes a little play is normal. If you've tightened the thumb piece nut (and be careful as it's easy to overtighten - snug should do it) and the revolver is functioning, then I'd just leave it alone. Attempting to tighten it further will accomplish nothing; there may just be a little slop in the relation ship of the #3 the bolt, #55 the thumbpiece and the frame.

Thanks for the info. It functions fine otherwise. This is a really solid gun. They don't build them like they use to.

BTW, I love the Finnfire Range I got from you. That thing makes bug holes out to 100 yards!
