    Question about 10/22

So browsing the ruger 10/22 thread, and i started to salivate over the awesome rigs and it made me want one. Bad.

My question is, are they open game to modify from a legal standpoint? (except >10 rnd mags of course). Im refering to things like thumbhole stocks etc. or are they similar to Ar-15s as far as modifications.

    Thanks

The calguns AW flow chart will answer all your questions. You can do anything that does not show as a violation there.

The key thing to note on that flowchart is that it's a rimfire.

Good to modify for the most part.

There's a ton of mods you can do because its a rimfire. Check the chart, item 6 AW laws do not apply to rimfires and mod away. Id start with the trigger and barrel and go from there. Mine has the original reciever, I changed the stock, barrel, had the trigger and bolt reworked added a scope. You can go just about as far as your wallet will allow. Have fun!!!
