Gsg 1911 refinished

What should I use to refinish my gsg 1911 lower that would last to gun cleaners and would be quick to refinish. Don't like the color the lower has and would like to Match it with the upper. Has anybody refinished there lower due to the same issue?

I just refinished the slide to match the frame. I used KG Gunkote. It is durable and thinner than duracote. Plus, it covered up all the ugly markings from ATI.

How did u spray the finish did u have to bake. What steps did u take to change the color.

I just purchased the color I wanted to use, in this case, flat dark gray / light black. Then it is sprayed with a $10 airbrush from harbor freight. Baked in the oven (when the wife was gone), and it is done.
